This Privacy Policy explains how Hyrly Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("Hyrly", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects the information you share with us when you use the Hyrly mobile application and this website (together, the "Service"). We believe your career data is your career data - we’re here to help you tailor and ship it, not to package it for advertisers.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to give you a useful tailoring experience.

• Account information. Name, email address, and the auth identifier we receive when you sign in with Apple or Google. Optional: profile photo, phone, location, LinkedIn URL, portfolio URL.
• Career content. Your master résumé (sections, bullets, education, certifications), captured wins (voice transcripts, photo metadata, text notes), saved job links, tailored résumés, and applied-to records.
• Preferences. Target roles, salary range, workplace mode, employment type, years of experience.
• Device and usage data. Device model, OS version, app version, crash reports, anonymous analytics events (which screens you visit, which actions succeed or fail).
• Communications. Any messages you send us at help@hyrly.app.

2. How we use your information

• To run the core product - parsing job links, scoring matches, generating tailored résumés, and converting captured wins into résumé bullets.
• To personalise Opportunities suggestions based on your preferences, saves, and feedback.
• To debug crashes and improve the app over time.
• To send you product updates if you opt in (we’re quiet by default).
• To respond to your support requests.

We do not use your career content to train external AI models, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

3. AI processing

Tailoring and bullet generation are powered by trusted third-party AI providers, currently Anthropic. When you tailor a résumé, the relevant parts of your master résumé and the job description are sent to the provider, processed, and returned as the tailored output. Anthropic processes data under its own terms and is contractually bound not to use API requests to train its models. Voice transcription is handled by OpenAI Whisper on a similar zero-retention basis.

4. Where your data lives

• On your device. A working copy of your master résumé, wins, and saved jobs lives encrypted on your device so the app stays useful offline.
• On our servers. A canonical copy lives in our database, hosted on managed cloud infrastructure in the AWS/GCP Mumbai region (ap-south-1). Backups are encrypted at rest.
• Logs. System logs are retained for 30 days for debugging and rotated automatically.

5. Sharing

We share information only as needed to run the Service:

• With AI providers, as described in Section 3.
• With infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, error tracking, analytics) under data-processing agreements.
• If legally compelled to (court order, statutory demand), we’ll notify you unless prohibited.
• If Hyrly is acquired, your data may transfer to the acquiring entity under the same protections.

6. Your rights

You can, at any time:

• Access and export your master résumé and tailored versions from Settings.
• Edit any profile or preference field.
• Delete your account by emailing help@hyrly.app. We will erase your data from active systems within 30 days; encrypted backups roll out within 90 days.
• Withdraw consent to optional analytics from Settings → Privacy.

7. Children

Hyrly is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used Hyrly, contact us and we’ll delete the account.

8. Security

We use TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest, and role-based access controls internally. No system is bulletproof, but we treat your career data with the seriousness it deserves. If you spot a security issue, please email security@hyrly.app - we run a low-key disclosure program and we’ll work with you.

9. Cookies (website only)

This website uses a small set of first-party cookies to remember your theme preference and gather anonymous analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser without losing access to any content here.

10. Changes

We’ll update this policy when our practices change. Material changes will be flagged via in-app notice and at the top of this page. Continued use of Hyrly after a change means you accept the updated terms.
